First, I'd like to explain a little about the misconception of who is qualified for political office. The media has the public so mindlessly conditioned that you must be born into or groomed as a great politician. This is not true. We need more people that have nothing to gain from holding public office. We need an actual ethics commission that can take a bite out of government corruption and a corrupt elections system. This commission needs full arrest authority to take down people who think they're above the law. All elected officials need to have term limits. I have many regional concerns, including making corporate polluters pay for water quality measures instead of residents. My other problems include crime prevention, political accountability, developing hemp farming and the bio-plastic industry, ‘smarter’ energy sources, and local government and elections transparency. I also believe the state needs to go after big monopolies like Duke Energy with little oversight and the CFPUA with little regulation or supervision. Another big problem I see as a Huge waste of citizens' time is SPAM CALLERS. The state of NC needs to end this kind of harassment. I want to address municipalities’ ability to adjust property taxes on the state level, allowing them to only increase a citizen's property tax by no more than 3% in any tax re-evaluation. Another big issue I see is the over-development of New Hanover County. Our state must hold municipalities accountable for adhering to a common practice of using DOT records to guide their planning and development.

I am a real estate agent and business owner. I own multiple businesses in New Hanover County and across North Carolina. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. Having served on the Coast Guard Cutter Diligence and Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach, qualifying as a boat coxswain and small boat engineer, and attending numerous Law Enforcement schools. l, and earning dozens of Awards, Medals, and Meritorious citations. While serving Station Wrightsville Beach during hurricane Bertha & Fran, we Saved 10s of Thousands of dollars in property and rescued countless people from rising waters and danger. I remember seeing a sailboat floating upside-down by the Wrightsville Beach Police department in the middle of the road.
The Great Nor'easter of December 1992 was one of the epic storms of all time. While serving on the USCG, Diligence was a tremendous challenge for myself and the crew, braving 30-45ft Seas while saving numerous fishing vessels that patrol. At some locations along the northern New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island coasts, it produced record tides, exceeding those produced by the hurricanes of 1938, 1944, 1954, and 1960, and the tremendous historical extratropical storms, including the Halloween Nor'easter of 1991. At many other locations from northeastern Massachusetts to Maryland, it produced tides within one or two feet (ft) of record values.

I wanted to clarify that a previous comment about being on the 1991 "Perfect storm" Patrol was incorrect, but as you can see, December 1992 was just as bad, if not worse. The only reason there wasn't a movie about this storm is that the USCG saved just about all vessels & personal in distress that year!

I am also an Author. I and My daughter Mary wrote a children's book, My Name is Cheezza Not Pizza, she gave me the idea to write a children's book to have a slice of Cheezza travel around the world to see where vegetable origins are from.
I also served on the NC cooperative extension board Arboretum, and I have fought for the citizens of New Hanover County with an illegal sales tax that was trying to be passed. I also helped Write New Hanover County's Jet Ski Laws and Regulations adopted in 1996. I have fought property re-valuation up to the state level and won.
I am a 32* Mason, one level below the ranking of George Washington.
